Women We Love: Sara from King Love Apparel
We are starting a new monthly feature here at MORE: Women We Love! Each month we'll be interviewing a woman who we think is doing a fantastic job pursuing her best life and making a positive impact on the world. Whether that means rocking her own business or loving & encouraging her kids, we think it's time to bring attention to the women in our world who are doing a kick-ass job at what they have chosen to do.
I couldn't be more thrilled to have Sara Terrero here for our very first interview!
Sara is a wife and mom of three who is as gorgeous on the inside as she is on the outside. Not only is she the creator and owner of KING LOVE Apparel, but she is also a talented tattoo artist and fashion designer!
What was your inspiration behind KING LOVE apparel?
King Love apparel was started because I felt god nudging me to be more evangelical through my tattooing... I'm pretty reserved in my faith, I make it known I'm Christian but I'm not always talking about God to everyone that sits in my chair... So I felt like [King Love] was a way I could spread the word and a good conversation starter besides telling everyone "my story."
What is the biggest challenge you face as you balance being a mom and entrepreneur?
Time, putting the work down. I definitely struggle with the mom part the most.
What is the greatest benefit of being able to work from home?
[I'm] still in control with "home life"... I still get to physically see the kids and they see me. Even though I may not always be focused on them, I'm still available most of the time.
What areas have you struggled with in running your own business?
Doing too many things at once. Sometimes my brain fills up with all this "stuff" I want to create. I just want to do it all!
What vision do you have for your business?
To build an empire based on King Love. Less custom designing. More King Love apparel and art along with King Love tattoo shop.
Who inspires you the most?
Hmm that's a hard one because I'm inspired by so many different artists and designers there's not just one person... Joyce Meyer, Tim Hendrix, God inspired women and men... Vera Wang, Zac Posen, my mom.
If you could tell your younger self one thing, what would it be?
God's got this.
What is something most people don't know about you?
Hmmmm.. I have a sweet tooth and I love dancing!
I absolutely admire Sara and her entrepreneurial vision! Not only does she see the value in finding her own success, but she also wants to make a difference in the world. That's why she's one of our women we love!
